Fume Exhaust System

Designed and installed a complete fume exhaust system for the extrusion area of a research and development facility. The project encompassed custom fabrication of PVC ductwork with supports and swivel arms, full mechanical and electrical installation, and comprehensive system commissioning including startup testing and performance verification. Delivered operational training to facility personnel to ensure safe and efficient long-term operation.

Overview

Client IPEX Inc. (R&D)
Service Mechanical & Electrical
Market industrial

IPEX Inc.'s research and development facility needed a fume exhaust system for their extrusion area—a space where chemical fumes are generated during manufacturing processes and air quality is non-negotiable.

GO2 Mechanical delivered a complete turnkey solution: design, custom fabrication, installation, and commissioning. We engineered the system around the facility's existing constraints, including monorail crane movement patterns, ensuring the exhaust infrastructure wouldn't interfere with daily operations.

The system features custom-fabricated PVC ductwork with adjustable swivel arms that allow operators to position capture points exactly where they're needed. Every component—from the support structures to the control integration—was designed specifically for this application.

After installation, we conducted rigorous testing to validate performance under real operating conditions, balanced the system for optimal airflow distribution, and trained IPEX personnel on operation and maintenance.

The result is a reliable ventilation system that protects worker health and meets safety standards, delivered from concept to handover by a single team.
